Victor J. Roach
Partner - The Oxford Group
Financial Advisor
Victor's career in the financial services and investment industry
started in 1989 as a Customer Service Representative at KeyCorp in
Canton, OH. It's there that he discovered that serving clients was
his specialty and that the financial industry would be where he would
make his career.
After graduating in 1991 from The University of Akron with a degree
in Finance, Victor was promoted to a Credit Analyst in KeyCorp's Commercial
Banking Division. Victor soon excelled into a Senior Credit Analyst
and took on the task of training new analysts that joined the team.
Because of his success Victor was asked to pilot a program that focused
on the Small Business owner(< $5MM in sales), an area that had great
potential because it was untapped
by KeyCorp and other local Banks. Victor was required to use his skills
as an analyst to evaluate a company's financial statements and also
his personality skills to build and sustain a client base.
Victor was promoted to a Vice President and Relationship Manager when
KeyCorp and McDonald Investments merged in May, 1999. He managed a
client base for McDonald Investments that included municipalities,
colleges, universities and non-profit organizations. He focused on
providing investment, debt issues and cash management services to
this diverse and sophisticated client base.
In May, 2000 after 11 years at KeyCorp and McDonald & Company Victor
seized a tremendous opportunity to join a regional brokerage firm
to continue his work in the financial services and investment industry.
He shifted his focus and began to build his loyal client base around
the individual investor instead of focusing on the institutional client.
In January, 2002 Victor became a Partner and Financial Advisor with
the Oxford Group led by Managing Partner Dennis P. Barba, Ph.D.
